Why these are our values
At Stuyvesant, we strive for inclusivity, community, and accessibility to ensure all students have the resources to make meaningful progress during high school while balancing their work with their personal lives and mental health in these unprecedented times.
How these values will be realized
Our policies are made to shed light on issues that are often overlooked by faculty and administration. As co-presidents of the Sophomore Caucus, we promise to use our platform to reach out to administration in order to implement innovative ways to spread kindness at Stuyvesant.
Kate Alvarez
Kate is a Filipino-American sophomore at Stuyvesant High School. In the 2020-2021 school semester as Sophomore Caucus co-president, she hopes to make all students feel more accepted in such an intense environment.
Iris Chan
Iris is a Hong Kong-American sophomore at Stuyvesant High School. As Sophomore Caucus co-president, her goals would be to promote inclusivity and a sense of community. Thereby, creating a positive environment that all students can feel safe and thrive in.
